Frank Stella: GEOMETRIES
How were the Frank Stella: Geometries created?
Frank Stella’s three dimensional works begin as digital geometries built in Computer Aided Design (CAD) and these geometries are further printed or prototyped as physical objects.
What will I get when I purchase one of the Geometries?
The NFT linked to each Geometry will be transferred over to you. The NFT affirms you are the owner of the Geometry and includes the following formats: JPG / MP4 (for image / video viewing or display), SLS (for 3D printing), GLB (for model manipulation or use in Virtual Reality / Metaverse), USDZ (for Augmented Reality viewing).
What rights do I have when I purchase one of the Geometries?
Put simply, in addition to the right to personally display your Geometry, you receive a license to create derivatives of the Geometry and 3D print the Geometry. These rights are subject to certain terms and conditions. For the complete terms and conditions of ownership and rights, please see the Collector’s Rights here.
What will be the price for the Frank Stella: Geometries?
The allowlist pre-sale will be set at $500 for an edition of each Geometry. The public sale pricing will be set at $1,000 for each edition.
Are there royalties set for secondary market sales?
Yes, a 10% royalty will be charged on any secondary market transaction to benefit the artist.
Are the Geometries unique or editioned?
Each Geometry consists of 100 editions. There are 20 Geometries available for sale, plus 2 bonus Geometries which will be gifted to collectors who purchase the complete set by the time the primary market sale ends. No more than 50 complete sets will be sold to ensure sufficient number of Geometries available to non-set buyers. In total, we anticipate the creation of 2000 NFTs (20 Geometries x 100 editions) plus any bonus Geometries minted for set purchasers.
When will the sale take place?
Pre-sale is currently planned to take place on September 9th, 2022 with the public sale to follow the conclusion of the pre-sale. These dates are subject to change.
Where can I purchase a Geometry?
Arsnl.art will be the only place to obtain a Geometry during the primary sale.
Can the models be 3D printed?
Collectors are encouraged to 3D print their Geometries and a printable file is included in each NFT. No restrictions are set on the size or material. Please share your prints on Twitter or Discord and we will do our best to highlight your creations. We can't wait to see what everyone prints out.
Is there a 3D printer Arsnl requires for 3D printing?
No, Arsnl does not require or recommend any particular 3D printer or service provider. Of course, we would generally advise that you work with a high-quality 3D printer for best results. 3D printing is done at the collector’s cost and expense.

What is the blockchain?
Blockchain is a shared ledger of transactions, assets, and even interactive logic. The information on the blockchain is secured by a combination of encryption and consensus.. While virtual money, like Bitcoin, use the blockchain as a way to track their movement and balances, crypto currencies are just one of many uses for this technology. Artists have been using the blockchain in recent years to store digital art (NFTs) records, embed royalties on their works, and create a variety of interactive experiences. Blockchain provides an opprunity for artsits to create digital works that are scarce and traceable. The technology is also used as a tool for a variety of artistic experiences. Arsnl plans to release its initial projects on the Ethereum blockchain, however we are open to support artists that create blockchain based artworks on other blockchains, such as Tezos and Solana.
What are the environmental effects of the blockchain technology?
Proof-of-Work blockchains (Bitcoin / Ethereum) consume a significant amount of global energy. Arsnl plans to release its initial projects on Ethereum and we are happy to announce that Ethereum will transition into a Proof-of-Stake blockchain during 2022, which will reduce its energy consumption by more than 99.9%. Arsnl will purchase carbon offset credits while this transition is on the way. While offset credits is not an ideal solution, we believe in the future of Ethereum NFT ecosystem and Ethereum's ultimate transition to the Proof-of-Stake will make it an environmentaly friendly technology.
What is an NFT?
A Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is not the artwork itself, rather it is a record on the blockchain that serves as a digital certificate of ownership for any linked digital asset, i.e. the artwork. NFTs are useful for establishing scarcity and tracking the ownership of artworks. Generally NFTs will contain metadata with links, descriptions, and titles to the underlying artworks.
Do I have to have cryptocurrency to purchase an NFT?
It is possible to purchase an NFT using either your credit card or cryptocurrency. Please note that in order to receive an NFT, you will need to have a blockchain wallet and any secondary market transactions on the blockchain will require crypto.
What is a wallet?
A blockchain wallet is a digital wallet that allows collectors to store and manage their crypto assets (ex. NFTs) as well as cryptocurrencies (ex. Ether). The most popular digital wallet on the Ethereum blockchain is MetaMask, which can be installed on your mobile device or as an extension to your Google Chrome browser. Please note that access to this wallet is secured by a 64 character private key or a 12 word seed phrase, which cannot be changed or restored.
How can I buy cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency can be purchased on registered exchanges, such as Coinbase, and transfered into your blockchain wallet.
What is gas?
On Ethereum blockchain, gas refers to transaction costs to perform any operation, such as purchasing, transfering, or creating an NFT.
How can blockchain technology help artists?
The blockchain can help artists establish scarcity, ownership, and partial provenance for digital based artworks, something that was extremely difficult to manage in the past. Furthermore, embedded features such as royalty payments enable artists to benefit from recurring revenue from the secondary market. Common standards make blockchain based artworks easier to acquire for collectors and open up a much larger secondary market for these works. It also allows for entire communities of collectors to interact with one another through art.
How do I access my account?
You can access your account with your blockchain wallet. Obtaining a wallet allows for access not just to Arsnl, but to any Ethereum based platform, artist's website, or an NFT exchange such as OpenSea.
What are the benefits of collecting NFT artworks?
The NFT is not the artwork itself. It’s a piece of code that includes metadata of where to find the artwork, who owns it, and the value of the artwork. It also provides proof of ownership. On top of that, NFTs can be interacted with and viewed in ways that transcend the capabilities of traditional media.
Where are your NFT based artworks stored?
While the NFT itself is assigned to a blockchain wallet and can be found there, Arsnl stores its digital artworks in IPFS, a distributed file system. The use of IPFS limits the reliance of the NFT owner to any platform or server, since the file is likely to be distributed on multiple servers at the same time.
How do I sell or gift my NFT?
NFT exchanges, such as OpenSea / Rarible / LooksRare, allow for an easy way to trade or gift your NFTs by accessing these exchanges with your blockchain wallet that holds your artworks. Please note that any transaction on the blockchain will incur a small transaction cost (gas).
